David Peryman (Keyboard/Vocals)
Dave Peryman (aka Mr P) has been playing music since he could reach the piano keys. He founded Good Oil in 2006, and plays Keyboards as well as sharing lead vocals with Katrina.
Dave joined his first "real" band when he was 20. This was a nine piece (including brass) show band, playing classic pop music. About this time he started writing his own songs. He then travelled to Australia where he was in a local pub band, playing a lot of original tunes.
Back home to New Zealand for a short period, he married Margaret and then moved to London for a while. Back in Auckland he started a business (he's a Mechanic by trade) and joined in the local jams at a couple of well-known pubs. He started a duo that played private functions for a time.
He was in a couple of local bands, BackTrax and Amnesia, for a few years, when he decided he'd had enough of playing rock music and he put together an easy listening, jazz and blues band - something he could "grow old" with.
Writing music is a passion for Dave, and he has written many songs for the bands he has played in. He has a fully digital recording studio where Good Oil record their music and they have released five CDs of original music to date.
