Good Oil band members

Dave Peryman
Keyboards/Vocalist (aka Mr P)
Mr P has been playing music since he was 5 years old. Piano is his forte! he also sings and plays guitar. He joined his first "real" band when he was 20. This was a nine piece (including brass) show band, playing classic pop music. About this time he started writing his own songs. He then travelled to Australia where he was in a local "pub" type band, playing a lot of original tunes.
Then back home to New Zealand, for a short period, got married to Margaret and then moved to London for a while, didn't play music there, just "checked" out the scene.
Back to Auckland, and started a business (he's a Mechanic by trade) joining in the local "jam's" at a couple of well known pubs. He started a duo that played "private" functions for a time
He was in a couple of local bands , BackTrax and Amniesia, for a few years, when he decided he'd had enough of playing "rock" music and to put together an easy listening, jazz and blues band, something he could "grow old" with.
This band "Good Oil" plays standard Jazz and Blues with a mix of easy listening and "originals" thrown in. Mr P’s built a recording studio in his "Barn" (he lives on a 5 acre lifestyle block) which is where he "plops out a fair few songs’. He is the primary song writer for "Good Oil".
